In a world where digital connection is constant, young people need more than just access to technology—they need the skills to navigate it with confidence, empathy, and resilience. The Social Media Resilience Workshops for Youth and families is a proactive, evidence-informed initiative designed to help manage social media with an emphasis on mental wellness.

Our Mission

To empower youth / families with the knowledge, tools, and emotional intelligence needed to use social media in healthy, safe, and empowering ways supporting mental wellness and best practices to sustain emotional resilience.

What the workshops Offer

  • Interactive Workshops: Virtual and In Person sessions designed to foster critical thinking around social media content, peer influence, and digital boundaries.
  • Mental Health & Media Literacy Tools: Participants learn to recognize the impact of online interactions on their emotional well-being and how to manage anxiety, depression, trauma as it relates to social media stressors, and screen time.
  • Peer Support & Real-Life Scenarios: Guided group discussions and role-play help participants develop empathy, communication skills, and confidence when facing online challenges.
  • Family & Educator Engagement: Resources and optional training for adults who support youth—building a stronger network around the young people in our communities.

Today’s youth face unprecedented pressures in the digital world: cyberbullying, unrealistic beauty standards, misinformation, and the constant chase for validation. The SMRE Workshops equips them not just to survive these challenges—but to grow from them. The SMRE Workshops equips them not just to survive these challenges—but to manage their own self-esteem, respect and self- love as they navigate the strong media pull and influence, especially how it triggers or contributes to their mental health.

Youth ages 12–19, schools, community organizations, and families who want to promote healthier digital habits and stronger mental resilience.
